Pulling Up a Vehicle
From your Homepage, go to the Search Bar and type information like the make, model, stock number, or VIN to pull up a vehicle.
You can also go to Inventory on the menu, then choose the Inventory List option to pull up a list report of your inventory.
The Inventory list has a ‘Needs Attention’ filter, which shows your vehicles in inventory that are missing photos and descriptions. From here, choose any vehicle from this list.
On the Vehicle Detail Page, click the Media tab to add media like photos and videos, which will be displayed on your various advertising sites when you post this vehicle online.
Adding Media Using the DealerCenter Mobile App
From the DealerCenter mobile app, tap the search icon on the top right to pull up the vehicle you’re looking for.
Next, tap the vehicle photo box to add photos right from your phone camera or photo library. You can also easily reorder photos and tap a photo to crop or resize it.
Editing Photos
On DealerCenter on your desktop, click on any photo to do basic editing like cropping, rotating, and brightening. You can add custom photo overlays. For more help with setting up photo overlays, check out the support article and video on setting up custom photo overlays.
Adding Vehicle Descriptions
Use the description builder tool to make it easy to add your vehicle descriptions. Select Description under the Vehicle Info tab. Then start adding your description here. Click on keywords to quickly add vehicle info.
When writing descriptions for the vehicle, it’s important to be thorough. People do read them. It’s crucial to tackle all the modalities of how people take in information. Some customers only look at photos, some read descriptions, and some want videos. Your goal as a dealer is to ensure you engage or communicate with the customer in every possible way, even without talking to them. Think about all those special features that the vehicle might have, like a backup camera or heated seats. These details are important.
Remember, the more information you provide, the more engaged your potential customers will be.
