How to Use TurboPass in DealerCenter

What is TurboPass?

TurboPass is a powerful verification tool integrated directly into DealerCenter. It allows dealers to quickly and securely verify a customer’s income, employment, identity, and residence—all without needing to collect or review paper documents.

Accessing TurboPass

You can access TurboPass from two different places in DealerCenter:

  1. Click Start a Deal from the homepage and select Finance
  2. On the Deal Application page, select a customer, then click Run/View TurboPass in the TurboPass section

  3. You can also click TurboPass from the left-hand menu inside any existing deal

    This opens the TurboPass report window where you can select which reports to run.


TurboPass Report Types

You can choose from the following report types:

  • Banking Report: Verifies income by logging into the customer’s bank
  • Payroll Report: Verifies employment using the customer’s payroll provider
  • Identity Report: Customer takes photos of their ID with their phone
  • Utility Report: Verifies proof of residency using a recent utility bill login

Customer Verification Process

After you click Run TurboPass, the customer receives a secure text message with a link. They follow a simple process depending on the selected report types:

  1. Identity: The customer is prompted to photograph a government-issued ID. On-screen tips ensure the image is clear and readable.
  2. Banking: The customer can search for and log into their bank. They select which accounts to authorize, and TurboPass generates the report.
  3. Payroll: The customer selects their payroll provider (e.g., ADP, Amazon, Workday) and logs in using their existing credentials. Employment details are verified automatically.
  4. Utility/Insurance: Customers are guided to log into their provider/ utility company and authorize verification.

Viewing Status and Reports

As the customer completes verification, you can monitor their progress in real time:

  • Click the refresh icon in the TurboPass window to see live status updates like:
    • “Link sent to customer”
    • “Customer viewing verification options”
    • “Redirected to financial institution login”
    • “Customer completed report”

Once completed, click the View Report button to open the results directly in DealerCenter.

To review or manage reports across deals:

  1. Go to the Reports menu
  2. Search for and select Customer TurboPass

  3. This report shows all TurboPass activity and allows you to view, resend, or follow up

Tips for Using TurboPass in DealerCenter

Here are a couple of important things to keep in mind when using TurboPass with your deals in DealerCenter:

Selecting TurboPass as Income Type

When you're submitting a deal to a lender, make sure to indicate that you're using TurboPass as the customer's proof of income. On the Lender Submission screen, go to the Income Type 1 field and select the option labeled TurboPass.

This ensures the lender understands the verification method used and may help with faster funding and less back-and-forth on stip collection.

Uploading the TurboPass Report

After running the report, you can upload the TurboPass PDF to the deal for lender review. From the deal screen:

  1. Open a Deal Page
  2. Click the Files tab
  3. Select Upload File and choose the saved TurboPass PDF report - or drag and drop file.

This ensures your lender has quick access to verified income or employment data as part of the funding packet.
