How the Westlake Black Visa® Credit Card Works

The Westlake Black Visa® Credit Card helps dealers close more deals by enabling customers to instantly fund a portion of their down payment—with no additional application or hard credit pull required. Eligible auto loan applicants can receive these offers on any deal submitted to Westlake, even if you don’t book the deal through Westlake.

Here are the key benefits:

  • Instantly fund part of the customer’s down payment
  • No additional credit check or application required
  • Offers available on any deal submitted to Westlake (not just booked deals)
  • Virtual card is available immediately upon acceptance
  • Close deals faster and help more customers move forward

Dealer Workflow: Sending Offers

Eligible offers will appear automatically when you submit deals to Westlake. Here’s how to view and send offers to your customers:

  1. Submit your deal to Westlake as usual.
  2. Look for offer banners across DealerCenter. For example, the top of a Deal page, or after submitting your application.
  3. Or click Westlake Credit Card Offer button, or access offers from the Down Payment menu.

  4. To send the offer to your customer, click View Customer Offer.

  5. Click Text Offer Link to send a link to your customer’s mobile device.

Customer Workflow: Accepting and Using the Card

Here’s what your customer will experience after receiving the offer link:

  1. Customer clicks the link in the text and is taken to the verification page.

  2. Customer completes identity verification (phone and email).
  3. Customer sees their Offer Details page.

  4. Customer clicks I Want This Card and completes personal info confirmation.
  5. Customer reviews final offer and clicks Agree and Accept Offer.

  6. Customer sees the You’re All Set screen and clicks Use Your Virtual Card Now.

  7. Customer is prompted to create a My Account password and then is guided to login to their Westlake My Account.

  8. From the Westlake My Account Page customers can view their Virtual Card details. They just click the View Virtual Card link:

  9. You can now process the virtual card number through your dealership’s normal payment processing system for the down payment.

Tips & Notes for Dealers

  • Eligible offers can appear on any deal submitted to Westlake—even if not booked through Westlake.
  • No additional credit pull or application is required for the customer to accept the card.
  • Make sure to enter a valid customer email address in DealerCenter so they can receive and complete the offer process.
  • The amount of the credit limit available for down payment is shown clearly to the dealer and customer.
  • Customers can use the virtual card immediately after accepting—you can process it just like a regular credit/debit card in your normal payment system.
