What is the Facebook Marketplace Posting Utility?
Facebook discontinued automated bulk inventory uploads for dealerships. As a workaround, DealerCenter created a Facebook Marketplace Posting Utility that allows dealers to post vehicles using a Windows PC as if manually posting from a personal Facebook profile.
Download and Install the Posting Utility App
- Go to Reports in the left menu.
- Select Inventory (or use the Search Reports box and start typing "Facebook")
- Click on Facebook Marketplace
- Click the orange Launch Auto Posting Utility button to download the app (Windows PC only).
- Run the installer from your Downloads folder and follow prompts to complete installation.
Log in and Post Vehicles
- Open the app and enter your DealerCenter login credentials.
- Click Settings and enter your Facebook username and password.
- Select vehicles to post and click the green Start Posting button.
- Use the Updated tab for vehicles with changes and Deleted tab for vehicles marked Sold.
- Updated: Vehicles with updated records that need reposting.
- Deleted: Vehicles sold and need to be removed from Facebook Marketplace.
- To relaunch the app later, search your PC for FB Marketplace Inventory Posting Tool.
View Active Posts
- Go to Reports > Online Marketing > Facebook Marketplace (or use the "Search Reports" box).
- Use the Status filter to view Posted, Updated, or Deleted vehicles.
- Click Run to view results.
Posting Guidelines
- The app must be downloaded using Google Chrome.
- Only available for Windows PCs (not Mac).
- Limit of 10 posts per day.
- Maximum of 20 images per vehicle.
- Posts typically take about 5 minutes to complete.
- Posts are made from a personal Facebook profile (not a business page).
