How to Add Photos, Videos, and Descriptions to Vehicles

Pull Up a Vehicle

To get started, you’ll need to pull up the vehicle you want to update. You can do this by using the search bar or navigating to your inventory list.

  1. From your Homepage, use the Search Bar to enter the stock number, make, model, or VIN.

  2. Or go to Inventory in the menu and click Inventory List to see all vehicles.
  3. Use the Needs Attention filter to find vehicles missing photos or descriptions.

Add Photos and Videos

Use the Media tab on the vehicle detail page to upload images and video. These will display on your website and any listing sites you post to.

  1. On the Vehicle Detail Page, go to the Media tab.
  2. Upload photos and videos from your computer. These will appear on your website and advertising sites.

Add Media with the Mobile App

The DealerCenter mobile app makes it easy to take and upload vehicle photos on the go.

  1. Open the DealerCenter mobile app and tap the search icon in the top-right to find a vehicle.
  2. Tap the vehicle photo box to take photos or select images from your phone’s gallery.
  3. Tap and hold photos to reorder them, or tap any photo to crop or edit.

Edit Vehicle Photos

DealerCenter includes tools for basic image editing, including cropping, rotating, and adding photo overlays.

  1. In the desktop version of DealerCenter, click any uploaded photo to access editing tools.
  2. Use tools to crop, rotate, brighten, or add photo overlays.
  3. To set up custom overlays, refer to the support article on photo overlay setup.

Add a Vehicle Description

Writing a detailed description can help highlight your vehicle’s features and improve listing engagement.

  1. On the Vehicle Info tab, look for the Description option.
  2. Use the description builder to select keywords or type your own description.
  3. Highlight features like backup cameras, heated seats, or one-owner history—these help attract buyers.

Customers engage differently—some look at photos, some read text, others watch video. Providing clear, detailed descriptions ensures you're communicating with every type of buyer. The more information you include, the more confident and interested buyers will be.
