How to Use AppraiseIQ: Inventory Appraisal Extension

This article shows you how to install and use the DealerCenter Inventory Appraisal Browser Extension. Learn how to detect VINs on auction sites, access real-time appraisal tools, and compare values using market-based or book value calculators to guide smarter inventory decisions.

 


Install the AppraiseIQ Chrome Extension

To use AppraiseIQ Inventory Appraisal tool, start by adding the Chrome Extension to your browser.

  1. Open Google Chrome and go to the Chrome Web Store by visiting chrome.google.com/webstore.
  2. In the search bar, type DealerCenter Inventory Appraisal and press Enter.
  3. When you find the extension, click Add to Chrome to install it.

Detect VINs on Listing Pages

Once installed, the extension will automatically scan vehicle listing pages for VINs and display a summary panel.

  1. Navigate to any auction or vehicle listing page, such as Manheim or other supported sites.
  2. When the extension detects VINs, a panel will open on the right side listing all vehicles found.

  3. If you don’t see VINs right away, try refreshing the page and click the refresh icon inside the extension.

Open and Use the Appraisal Panel

You can open the appraisal panel for any listed vehicle to view detailed valuation and pricing tools.

  1. Click the Appraise button next to the desired vehicle in the VIN list panel.
  2. If not signed in, the extension will prompt you to log in to your DealerCenter account.
  3. The appraisal panel will load on the right, showing book values, profit calculations, and appraisal tools.

Using the Market-Based Calculator

If your DealerCenter account includes a market pricing subscription, you'll see real-time market comparison tools.

  1. The calculator displays market-based values like % of Market, Cost to Market, and Profit.
  2. You can edit fields such as Asking Price, Reconditioning Costs, and Additional Costs to see how values update.

  3. Market Days Supply (MDS) and Price Rank also help guide your pricing strategy.

Using the Book Value-Based Calculator

If you're using the book value version, you can compare pricing across guides like Kelley Blue Book, J.D. Power, and Black Book.

  1. Select your preferred guide, pricing type (Retail, Trade, etc.), and condition estimate.
  2. Enter costs such as Reconditioning, Packs, and Additional fees to calculate your appraisal value.

  3. Depending on your Book Subscriptions the system will generate values like Fair Purchase Price and Fair Market Range to help guide your appraisal.
