CPI is insurance that the dealer can enforce on a BHPH when the customer’s insurance lapses so that the vehicle is insured until the customer obtains updated insurance. The premium for the CPI insurance will then be paid by the customer as a side note. This is a common practice within the BHPH industry.
Our current implementation makes adding the CPI insurance and side note too cumbersome, as the user must manually type in the CPI information and manually create the side note each time. This enhancement seeks to simplify the addition of the CPI insurance to the account by introducing the following functionality:
• Settings update for default CPI provider information
• An action to apply the default CPI info as the account’s primary insurance
• The automatic creation of the CPI side notes when CPI is applied to the account.

Dealers can now upload the stipulations that are required to activate their account. This will avoid having the dealers sending in their missing required documents to the DealerCenter representative or the processing team.
Dealers can see an “Upload Docs” button on their home screen (If dealer has missing required docs that they need to provide or there is an Onsite Stipulations / DC Onsite Inspection)
Clicking on the “Upload Docs” button it will display a dialog popup, displaying the missing documents and the status. They will have an ability to click on “Upload” and a file browsing window will appear so a user can search for the documents from their computer to satisfy the required stipulation. Once the file is selected, users will need to click on open and that file will be uploaded.
If the dealer has requested for Experian bureau access, an onsite inspection will be required and show a section that has a link and QR code to download the DealerCenter Mobile App. The DealerCenter mobile app will give the dealer access to the Onsite inspection survey.
Upon logging into the DealerCenter mobile app, a pop up will appear letting the user know a Site Inspection is required. Users can choose to start or click later to complete the inspection later.
For users who have chosen to complete the site inspection later or closed the popup message, users can start the onsite inspection by clicking on the 3 horizontal bars on the upper left corner of the home screen on the mobile app. The side menu will slide out and the “Onsite Inspection” status will appear on the upper left corner of the screen. Clicking on the status will begin the Onsite inspection survey.
Users will be guided to answer questions or take pictures of items required for the onsite inspection.
Once the Onsite Inspection survey is complete, the users will have to fill out the aknowledgement page with their name and phone number and then click “Complete Inspection” to submit. Processors will review the answers and images form the inspection survey and approve, make edits or request for additional stips or alternate proof of the stips.
If the dealer is subscribing to Equifax or Transunion, an Onsite Inspection from our authorized vendor will be required and the messaging will specify this.
