Check out the updates, enhancements, fixes and new features released in Nov 2021.
We have added new functionality that will allow dealer to refund a partial amount of the payment. When the user hits Refund, we will throw a dialogue that asks if they want to do a full refund or partial refund.
If the user selects FULL, we will refund the entire payment like we have always done.
If the user selects PARTIAL, we will open up a window in which the user will enter the amount, method, Ref# and date of the partial refund.
On hitting OK, the payment window will be updated to show the details of the partial refund.
Because some of the previously collected money was refunded, a balance will be created in the Payment remaining section of the Deal Payments window. The user can choose to Collect or Write-Off this balance. The Write-Off action will tell the system to no longer expect this amount and the balance will be cleared from the deal. The Write-Off action will also make a corresponding QuickBooks entry to balance out the dealer’s books.
The remaining amount collected (not refunded) will be displayed in the Payments Applied section of the Deal Payments window. A note will be added to show the original payments amount and indicate to the users that this payment was partially refunded.
The partial refund will also be logged in the Deal Events tab
When a payment is partially refunded, the remaining amount collected (not refunded) will be displayed in the Deal Payments report.
We have added the Customer’s Trade1/2 Allowance in the Dealer Summary Form for both the customer and the dealer.
We are now displaying the GAP price when the rates are returned after the user hits the Get Quote button. Previously, this was not displayed until a quote was applied to the deal
We have made some adjustments to the interface that is used to populate the Michigan RD108.
The options displayed in the Body Style selector will be pulled from the list provided by the Michigan DMV. We were previously pulling from the body styles available in DC inventory, but dealers had requested to use the official list.
We have added a new option for Title Only
If the "Title Only" option is selected, we will check the Title Only filed on the form and place "Title Only" in the plate number field.
We have updated the label of the "NoTitle" option to "No Title/Out of State"
If the "No Title/Out of State" radio is selected, we will not check any boxes on the form and we will put "No Title/Out of State" in the plate field
We have added Municipal Vehicle to the title brand list in the vehicle record. If selected in the vehicle, the Municipal Vehicle box will be checked on the RD108 form
If the vehicle title brand is set to “Rebuild,” we will now check the “Salvage Title was Previously Issued” box on the RD108 form
The Printed Name of Dealer’s Agent will now show the active user (logged in user)
The printed name of Salesperson will now be Salesman1 on the deal
The Flooring Cost setting in Deal Setting will now control the Total Cost of the vehicle in Wholesale deals. The Flooring Cost will now be either included in or excluded from the Total Cost of the vehicle based on this setting.
California Only Dealers can submit a loan to Westlake, any qualifying customers ( 750 FICO and above) that are submitted to Westlake will automatically also be sent to Knight Prime. Approved apps will be presented to dealers in DC as a Knight Prime as the lender.
Knight Prime basic program:
Selecting the Knight Prime decision will open of the decision details. If accepted, the application will book the same way as a Westlake application. The deal Printpack will all say Westlake, not Knight. Knight will only show as branding on the application.
Knight Prime deals can only be eContracted. If dealer selects “Westlake Printpack” the pop-up below will display, and redirect dealer to eContract deal. Once the dealer goes back and selected eContract, the existing eContract process will continue.
The Knight Prime decision will be displayed on the Compare Offers tab as “Westlake Financial by Knight Prime”
We are now showing the date filters that were used on the Sales Totals report in the SLS/CSV/PDF file that is produced on export.
We have also added the Trade Allowance and Trade Payoff to the Sales Totals report.
The dealerships will receive a pop-up notification when they reverse a payment that was processed through Worldpay or OpenEdge alerting the users that the money will be returned to the customer’s account. This is to protect against dealers reversing payments without understanding that the money would be returned to the customer.
We have adjusted the BHPH Buy-Back process to allow dealers to set the account back to a past due state when it is brought back to the dealer’s portfolio. This is used when an account was sold to a third party, but the dealer has to buy that account back because the customer did not make the required number of payments. Previously, the account would be bought back and put into a new contract, which would make the customer current.
The new solution allows the dealers to set the last date on which the customer had made a payment – this payment date could be the last one the dealer received, or it could be the last time the customer made a payment to the third party who owned the account prior to the Buy-Back. The last Payment date will be used to calculate the interest accrual and days past due for the account when it returns to the dealer’s portfolio.
Pyramiding late fees refers to a creditor's practice of imposing a late fee when a consumer sends a timely payment in an amount sufficient to cover the regularly scheduled payment but insufficient to cover any prior unpaid late or delinquency fee.
The new feature allows the dealer to override the system to not add a late fee on top of what current late or delinquent fees are already due.
For dealers contracting interstate customers, they can subscribe to interstate fee calculations service by our current tax automation provider Five64.
The “Calculation Tax and Fee” notification button will only display in the tax itemization box when the customer is from out of state. This feature will allow the dealer to subscribe to an additional service to have Five64 calculate the proper taxes and fees for interstate deals.
Dealer will need to agree to the terms and fees and then complete their billing information on the sign up page.
Golf Acceptance will be a new PLP lender and will be available initially in California. Golf is just a small pilot with a very limited number of dealers in CA only. Title guarantee is similar to how Flagship works with Westlake. For GOLF deals, dealers will be required to complete a Guarantee of Title for every deal.
When Experian is not available, the affected dealers can have Instant BP turned on and Westlake will run a Equifax report to be able to calculate a Buy Program.
Deals submitted to Lentegrity in Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania, will be auto submitted. If a deal is aligned, then it will automatically be submitted to the lender. If it’s not aligned Dealer will get the message that it’s not aligned, and it will not auto submit. But the dealer can manually submit if they want too.
